JIGSAW 3 peaks challenge

3 Peaks Challenge

Over the weekend of 20th-21st of May, Russ and George joined the Jigsaw team to complete the 3 peaks challenge!

The team started the challenge at 7.30am on Saturday and set off up Ben Nevis. They were back down to the support vehicle by 12.30pm ready to drive to Scafell Pike. They arrived at Scafell after diverting around Glasgow by 6.30pm, ready to take on England’s tallest peak. They achieved this and were back down by around 10pm as darkness was setting in.

The final minibus journey was to Snowdon which again encountered a diversion around Liverpool. The team arrived at the Pen Y Pass Car Park at 3.30am with 4 hours to get up and down Snowdon to complete the challenge in the allotted time. Luck was on their side and they were up and down with 12 minutes to spare and not needing to jog – which would’ve been a cruel finish.

They took on this monumental challenge to raise funds for Jigsaw’s ongoing efforts to support families who have children and young people who have any additional needs or disability.

Thank you to anyone who has already donated. Donations towards this great charity can still be made and would be greatly appreciated!
